Baseball Recap: Greene County Comes Up Short

Greene County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-2 on Friday.

Greene County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Augusta Prep Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Greene County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cedar Shoals at 6:00 p.m. on March 27th. As for Augusta Prep Day, they will take on Westminster Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
