The Barons will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 3:30 p.m. San Ysidro took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bonita Vista, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Bonita Vista earned an 8-3 win over Montgomery. The victory continues a trend for the Barons in their matchups with the Aztecs: they've now won five in a row.

ANDRES CORDERO looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.

At the plate, Bonita Vista let ADRIAN FIGUEROA and KENSEN JOHNSON run wild. FIGUEROA went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while JOHNSON went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits JOHNSON has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of TYLER MAULA, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Bonita Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, San Ysidro might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Eastlake who claimed the real prize. The Cougars fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2.

Armann Robles made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

San Ysidro's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Bonita Vista, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

Everything went Bonita Vista's way against San Ysidro in their previous meeting back in May of 2021, as Bonita Vista made off with a 10-3 victory. Will the Barons repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
