Baseball Recap: Shiloh Takes a Loss

Shiloh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Decatur Bulldogs, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-1 loss on Wednesday.

Shiloh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylen Seabrooks, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Shiloh is 2-1 when Seabrooks posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-15 otherwise.

Shiloh's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Decatur, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shiloh will take on Tri-Cities at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Decatur, they will square off against Arabia Mountain at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Arabia Mountain has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.31 runs per game on average), something Decatur will no doubt try to take advantage of.
