Softball Recap: Sherwood Drops Highest Score of Season Against Knob Noster

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sherwood). Everything went their way against the Knob Noster Panthers on Friday as they made off with a 15-1 win. The Marksmen haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Tori Sullins was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Riley Lango was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Sherwood's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Knob Noster, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Sherwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 22-10 loss against Clinton on the 12th. As for Knob Noster, they will face off against Lexington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
