LaGrange is a perfect 4-0 against Fayette County since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Grangers are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. LaGrange's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Fayette County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, LaGrange turned things around against Mary Persons on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Fayette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 8-5 to Whitewater.

Jamal Johnson and Montaevious Smith stepped up to the plate in a big way. Johnson went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Smith scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

LaGrange's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Fayette County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

LaGrange took their victory against Fayette County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grangers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
