If Southside wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Alamo Heights, they should've done a better job of containing Jack Brewer. The Mules took their game on Monday with ease, bagging an 87-25 win over the Cardinals with plenty of help from Brewer, who went 11-for-16 on his way to 25 points along with five boards and five steals. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least 20 points.

Another player making a difference was Taylor Searls, who posted two points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 50% field goal percentage.

Alamo Heights' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Southside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alamo Heights won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Westlake at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mules will need to watch out since the Chaparrals have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Southside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alexander at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
