Soccer Game Preview: Julian vs. Holtville

Julian is 0-3 against Holtville since February of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Julian Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the Holtville Vikings at 3:00 p.m.

Julian is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Borrego Springs, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Holtville came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Yellow Jackets.

Kadence Toten, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Holtville squad sat out for Tuesday's game. With Toten sidelined, Yadira Puentes got her first action of the season.

Holtville's victory bumped their record up to 7-10-1. As for Julian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
