            Softball Recap: Naylor Eagles vs. Central Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Naylor's game  on Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They were the clear victors by  a  17-8 margin over the Central Tigers. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.

 Faithlynn ?Gracie? Tillman was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and five unearned) runs off   five  hits. Tillman was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 5-for-5 with one  home run, five  runs,  and three  RBI. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 2.3  runs per game.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Gracie Cullsion, who  fired off two  home runs, four  runs,  and four  RBI while going 2-for-4.  Tatum Futrell was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI and two  runs.
 Naylor  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
With the  win, Naylor broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Central,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-9.
 Naylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they will face off against St. Pius X at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Lancers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
