Baseball Game Preview: Tallulah Falls Indians vs. Athens Christian Eagles

For the second straight game, Tallulah Falls will face off against Athens Christian. The Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.

Tallulah Falls is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Athens Christian just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 12-6. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 16, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Diego Gonzalez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. BJ Carver also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The win (which was Athens Christian's 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Tallulah Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
