Football Recap: Lancaster Piles Up the Points Against Mesquite

After only ten points in their last contest, Lancaster made sure to put some points up on the board against Mesquite on Thursday. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Skeeters 64-20. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mesquite's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaiden Clayton, who threw for 151 yards and one touchdown, and Krisshaun Waters, who picked up 61 receiving yards and one TD.

The win got Lancaster back to even at 4-4. As for Mesquite, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lancaster will square off against Waxahachie at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mesquite, they will face off against Duncanville at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Skeeters will need to watch out since the Panthers and Pantherettes have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
