Soccer Game Preview: Paideia vs. Wesleyan

The Paideia Pythons will challenge the Wesleyan Wolves on Tuesday. Paideia will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Paideia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Greater Atlanta Christian. That's two games straight that Paideia have won by exactly two goals.

They hit Greater Atlanta Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tobi Ciho, Max Payne, and Noah Armour.

Meanwhile, Wesleyan made easy work of Aquinas on Friday and carried off a 5-1 victory. Wesleyan might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by three goals or more this season.

Wesleyan has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those eight contests. As for Paideia, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Paideia beat Wesleyan by a goal when the teams last played back in February of 2021, winning 1-0. Will the Pythons repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
