Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Bella Pallari and Kelsey Brooks Lead Vista Del Lago to Victory

Vista del Lago won the last time they faced Bella Vista and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vista del Lago Eagles put the hurt on the Bella Vista Broncos with a sharp 60-37 win. The Eagles pushed the score to 44-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Broncos cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading Vista del Lago to victory were Kelsey Brooks and Bella Pallari. Brooks almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds, while Pallari posted 16 points along with six boards and six steals. Pallari has become a key player for Vista del Lago: the team is 6-3 when she posts at least five steals, but 5-12 otherwise. Adalai Lawson was another key player, putting up a point in addition to nine rebounds and four steals.

Vista del Lago was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bella Vista only posted seven assists.

Bella Vista's loss came despite strong showings from Ellie Thome and Mackenzie Dean. Thome scored 15 points, while Dean earned eight points. What's more, Thome also posted a 38% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024.

Vista del Lago's record now sits at 11-15. As for Bella Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season.

Coming up, Vista del Lago will head out to square off against St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bella Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
