Basketball Game Preview: Jeannette Jayhawks vs. Apollo Ridge Vikings

Jeannette is 0-7 against Apollo Ridge since December of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Jeannette Jayhawks will take on the Apollo Ridge Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Jeannette is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They took a 52-36 bruising from Riverview. While losing is never fun, the Jayhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 654th, while the Raiders are ranked 269th).

Meanwhile, Apollo Ridge ended up a good deal behind Riverview on Monday and lost 51-33. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Jeannette's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Apollo Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Jeannette was dealt a bruising 58-26 defeat at the hands of Apollo Ridge in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Jeannette avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
