Soccer Recap: Central Gwinnett Comes Up Short

Central Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Milton Eagles. While losing is never fun, Central Gwinnett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Milton are ranked 16th).

Central Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Milton, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Central Gwinnett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Milton, they will be playing at home against Riverwood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
