Soccer Game Preview: Whitewater vs. Dutchtown

The Whitewater Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Dutchtown Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitewater is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.

Dutchtown better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Whitewater's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Whitewater really gets things going. Whitewater put the hurt on LaGrange with a sharp 4-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Whitewater, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Ryan Daniel and Bryan Garcia scored all four of Whitewater's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Dutchtown was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against Johns Creek, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Dutchtown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Johns Creek are ranked tenth).

Whitewater pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Dutchtown, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
