Basketball Recap: Akeisha Mcdaid Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Leigh + How To Watch

Prospect posted their closest victory since February 25th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 win over the Leigh Longhorns. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Longhorns: they've now won eight in a row.

Prospect got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Akeisha McDaid out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. McDaid's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 19 points. Cali Wallace was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

Prospect picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Leigh, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Prospect will challenge Fremont at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leigh, they will face off against Saratoga at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
