Baseball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Knights vs. Strong Rock Christian Patriots

For the second straight game, Calvary Christian will face off against Strong Rock Christian. Calvary Christian will head out to square off against Strong Rock Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Calvary Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Strong Rock Christian on Tuesday. Calvary Christian blew past Strong Rock Christian 12-4.

Calvary Christian let Fitz Stone and Tommy Irving run wild. Stone got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Irving scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Irving has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tripp Ellison, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Calvary Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 8.75 hits in those games compared to only three in the others. Strong Rock Christian now has a losing record of 7-8.
