Basketball Recap: Forest City Takes a Loss

Forest City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. 2025 welcomed they with a 53-29 loss courtesy of the Montrose Meteors. That's two games in a row now that the Foresters have lost by exactly 24 points.

Forest City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Montrose, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Carbondale Area the next time they take the court. Montrose will host Carbondale Area at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Forest City will head out to face them at 2:15 p.m. on January 11th.
