Baseball Recap: Jackson Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lovejoy

There's no place like home for Jackson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lovejoy Wildcats on Saturday, sneaking past 4-3. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Maceo White was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. White was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

White wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Pearce Henry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Henry is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stole at least one in each of the last four games he's played. RaySean Eberhart also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Jackson's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Lovejoy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lovejoy, they will be playing at home against Therrell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
