Volleyball Recap: Millard South Falls Short Against Ranked Marian

Millard South faced Marian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Marian can attribute much of their success to Campbell Capece, who had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Capece has posted over her last seven contests.

Millard South's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Marian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Millard South will be playing at home against Mercy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marian, they will head out to square off against Burke at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
