Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kaitlyn Smith and Tilah Perez Lead Lone Star to Victory

Lone Star proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Plano Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Rangers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Leading Lone Star to victory were Tilah Perez and Kaitlyn Smith. Perez had 17 digs and three assists, while Smith had 11 digs and two aces. Smith is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Lone Star's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Plano, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Lone Star will take on Montwood at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Plano, they will face off against Marcus at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
