Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Diablo vs. Concord

Mt. Diablo is 0-10 against Concord since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Mt. Diablo Red Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Concord Bears at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, everything went Mt. Diablo's way against Bethel as Mt. Diablo made off with a 4-1 victory.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Concord). They never let Valley Christian onto the board and left with a 9-0 win on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Concord's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Mt. Diablo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-17.
