Soccer Recap: Mira Loma Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mira Loma's offense. They came up short against the Lincoln Fighting Zebras on Tuesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 663rd, while the Fighting Zebras are ranked 274th).

This is the second loss in a row for Mira Loma and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for Lincoln, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mira Loma will challenge Colfax at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln, they will take on Oakmont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6.3 goals per game this season.
