Softball Recap: West Monona's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

West Monona had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the CAM Cougars with a sharp 14-8 victory. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

West Monona pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for CAM, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-3.

West Monona didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-8 win against Griswold on the 24th. CAM has also already played their next contest (against Grand View Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
