Mira Loma suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 70-25 defeat at the hands of Pioneer. Mira Loma was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-9.
Despite the defeat, Mira Loma had strong showings from Olivia Ulep, who scored 14 points, and Desiree Synhorst, who scored two points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Synhorst has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.
Meanwhile, Mesa Verde beat Woodland 35-27 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mesa Verde.
Mira Loma has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Mesa Verde, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
