Basketball Recap: Dominguez Comes Up Short

Dominguez lost to Mayfair back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Dons came up short against the Monsoons, falling 41-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mayfair to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kylie Garcia, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Dimmy, who had 11 points and eight rebounds.

Dominguez has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Mayfair, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Dominguez has already played their next matchup, a 44-43 victory against Bellflower on the 16th. As for Mayfair, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-32 loss against Norwalk on the 16th.
