Basketball Game Preview: Lowell Cardinals vs. Lincoln Mustangs

The Lowell Cardinals will face off against the Lincoln Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lowell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lowell duked it out withGalileo on Wednesday. Lowell strolled past Galileo with points to spare, taking the game 60-44. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Lions are ranked 650th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lincoln didn't have too much trouble with The Academy - San Francisco on Wednesday as they won 51-36. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Lincoln's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.8 points per game. As for Lowell, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Lowell came up short against Lincoln in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 73-67. Can Lowell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
