Basketball Game Preview: Homestead Mustangs vs. Mission San Jose Warriors

The Homestead Mustangs will take on the Mission San Jose Warriors in a holiday battle at at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Homestead will be strutting in after a victory while Mission San Jose will be coming in after a loss.

Mission San Jose is hoping to do what Piedmont Hills couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Homestead's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Homestead came out on top against Piedmont Hills by a score of 47-40.

Meanwhile, Mission San Jose suffered their biggest defeat since January 16th on Wednesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Dublin an easy 70-46 win. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.

Homestead is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points per game. As for Mission San Jose, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
