Kayleigha Dowell leads Port Allegany to victory over Oswayo Valley

The Port Allegany Gators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 54-46 victory over Oswayo Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Port Allegany.
Kayleigha Dowell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with three steals and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Port Allegany's points. Ella Moses was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
Port Allegany's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Oswayo Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Allegany will be home for the holidays to greet Smethport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Smethport has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Oswayo Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bolivar-Richburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
