Soccer Recap: Westchester Comes Up Short

Westchester lost against Los Angeles CES back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Westchester Comets came up short against the Los Angeles CES Unicorns, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 816th, while the Unicorns are ranked 392nd).

Westchester has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Los Angeles CES, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Westchester will square off against Fairfax at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Los Angeles CES, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 5-1 loss against Venice on the 10th.
