Soccer Recap: Mica Mountain Comes Up Short

Mica Mountain entered their match against Ironwood Ridge on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mica Mountain Thunderbolts fell 3-1 to the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks. The Thunderbolts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Nighthawks earlier this season, when they won 0-0.

Mica Mountain's goal came courtesy of Julian Ordaz, who's now up to 14 this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Mica Mountain and nudges their season record down to 8-5-1. As for Ironwood Ridge, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1-1.

Mica Mountain will square off against Walden Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ironwood Ridge, they will challenge Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ironwood Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.
