Soccer Recap: Jefferson County Takes a Loss

Jefferson County and Bleckley County combined for 15 shots on goal on Thursday, which explains the impressive nine total goals scored. The Jefferson County Warriors fell just short of the Bleckley County Royals by a score of 5-4. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jefferson County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four matches. The victory got Bleckley County back to even at 4-4.

As for Bleckley County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Swainsboro on the 11th.
