Baseball Recap: Woodland Wildcats vs. Allatoona Buccaneers

Woodland had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 14-15 to make it four. They lost 15-0 to the Allatoona Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-1 loss on Thursday.

As for Allatoona, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games.

For Allatoona's part, Davis Bargeron looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Bargeron has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cruz Paul was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Elms, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
