Basketball Recap: Dorsey Comes Up Short

Dorsey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 87-20 loss at the hands of the Crenshaw Cougars. One positive for the Dons, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Jada Kindle was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 39 points and 23 boards for Crenshaw. Kindle also grabbed seven steals, which is notable because Crenshaw is 3-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 4-7 otherwise. Jaida Floyd was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 assists.

Dorsey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Crenshaw, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Dorsey will host Math & Science College Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Math & Science College Preparatory will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Dorsey surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crenshaw, they will challenge King/Drew at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crenshaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season.
