Baseball Game Preview: Bainbridge Bearcats vs. Thomasville Bulldogs

Bainbridge hasn't had much luck against Thomasville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bainbridge Bearcats will host the Thomasville Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Bainbridge will be strutting in after a victory while Thomasville will be coming in after a loss.

Bainbridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Monroe a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bearcats considering their two-run performance the game before.

Preston Deal looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Jake Barber was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarion Donaldson, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Thomasville fell victim to Cook and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Hornets.

Bainbridge's win bumped their record up to 2-6-1. As for Thomasville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
