There's no place like home for South Effingham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets on Wednesday as they made off with an 11-1 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won 14 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Alyssa Martin, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Danni Lynn, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
South Effingham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in seven consecutive games.
South Effingham pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.
