Meanwhile, Sage Creek played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Torrey Pines and fell 69-21. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 809th, while the Falcons are ranked 199th).

La Costa Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Sage Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

La Costa Canyon beat Sage Creek 56-46 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Costa Canyon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
