Football Recap: Dighton Takes a Loss

Dighton was the 44-40 winner over Decatur Community when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets were dealt a 56-16 defeat at the hands of the Red Devils on Friday. The Hornets were down 34-8 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Although Dighton took the loss, they still got scores from Shawn Redburn and Charlie Vogel.

Dighton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Decatur Community, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dighton is set to challenge their familiar foe Quinter on Friday. Meanwhile, Decatur Community will take on rival Wallace County on Friday.
