Basketball Recap: Great Valley Comes Up Short

Great Valley suffered their biggest loss since January 11th on Thursday. They came up short against the Council Rock South Golden Hawks, falling 61-39. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Golden Hawks are ranked 29th).

Great Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Council Rock South, the win was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

Great Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Council Rock South, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Neshaminy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Council Rock South is on a five-game streak of home wins, Neshaminy a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
