Preview: Collegium Charter Cougar vs. Bristol Warriors
Collegium Charter is 6-1 against Bristol since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Collegium Charter Cougar will head out on the road to square off against the Bristol Warriors at 3:45 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Collegium Charter fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Faith Christian Academy by a score of 39-31 on Thursday.
Collegium Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kori Beasley, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciani Hamilton, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Bristol scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They strolled past Morrisville with points to spare, taking the game 44-30.
Collegium Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-11 record this season. As for Bristol, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Collegium Charter didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Bristol when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 48-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Collegium Charter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
