Football Recap: Central Lake's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Onekama, Central Lake was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took down the Onaway Cardinals 30-16. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Cardinals are ranked 62nd).

Central Lake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.8 points over those games. As for Onaway, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Central Lake will welcome Cedarville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Onaway, they will head out to square off against Pellston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
