Baseball Recap: South Plainfield Takes a Loss

South Plainfield fell victim to Monroe Township and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 1-0. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 10-5.

South Plainfield's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Monroe Township, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Plainfield will challenge Union Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monroe Township, they will welcome Robbinsville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
