Basketball Recap: Sheldon Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

If Franklin wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sheldon, they should've done a better job of containing Saniah Wiley. The Sheldon Huskies came out on top against the Franklin Wildcats by a score of 54-41 on Wednesday thanks in part to Wiley, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Brooklin Kimmons was another key player, putting up 18 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Sheldon pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Franklin, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Elk Grove the next time they take the court. Franklin will host Elk Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Sheldon will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on February 12th.
