Soccer Game Preview: West Ranch vs. Valencia

The West Ranch Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Valencia Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

West Ranch is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Saugus on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Centurions. The defeat continues a trend for West Ranch in their meetings with Saugus: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valencia). Their defense stepped up to hand Castaic a 2-0 shutout on Thursday.

West Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Valencia, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

West Ranch couldn't quite get it done against Valencia in their previous matchup back in January as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
