Softball Recap: Regis Jesuit Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Regis Jesuit, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Vista PEAK Prep Bison on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their two-run performance the game before.

Alexis Colvin was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Caitlin Fairchild was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Regis Jesuit hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

Regis Jesuit's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Regis Jesuit will take on Grandview at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Sierra at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
