Baseball Recap: Open Bible Christian Gets the Win

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Open Bible Christian brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over Northside Christian Academy on Thursday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with Northside Christian Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Troy DeDios was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Parnell, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Open Bible Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Northside Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Open Bible Christian will head out to face off against Hope Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northside Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Corinth Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northside Christian Academy will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
