Baseball Recap: Centennial Chargers vs. Danville Vikings

Centennial had lost eight straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 6-19 to make it nine. They lost 8-0 to the Danville Vikings. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 18-2.

Centennial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madden Ritter, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Paysen Dacanay also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Looking ahead, Centennial will look to defend their home field on Friday against Urbana at 4:30 p.m. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Danville, they will venture away from home to take on Champaign Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
