Football Game Preview: Linganore Lancers vs. City College Black Knights + How To Watch

The Linganore Lancers will challenge the City College Black Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Linganore is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Hagerstown 42-0. The victory was just business as usual for the Lancers, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.

Bradly Matthews was his usual excellent self, rushing for 37 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last 14 times he's played.

Meanwhile, City College took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 44-7 win over Towson.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Brandon Rattet and Ayden Twele. Rattet rushed for 140 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries while Twele threw for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 passes.

City College was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

City College now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Linganore, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Everything came up roses for Linganore against City College when the teams last played back in November of 2021, as the squad secured a 50-6 win. In that matchup, the Lancers amassed a halftime lead of 29-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
