Soccer Recap: Lompoc Triumphs

Lompoc's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Lompoc Braves who were credited with the win. The Lompoc Braves got it done in the shootout by posting one goals to the Burroughs Bears's zero.

Lompoc's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7-1. As for Burroughs, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Lompoc will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mission College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Lompoc's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. Burroughs has already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against West Covina on the 21st.
