Basketball Game Preview: Pilibos Eagles vs. Duarte Falcons

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pilibos has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight defeats, while Duarte will come in with three straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Pilibos was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-37 to Holy Martyrs Armenian.

The losing side was boosted by Lara Kasbarian, who posted 13 points. Nanar Shahinian was another key player, putting up five points in addition to nine rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, Duarte won against Baldwin Park two weeks ago with 45 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Duarte came out on top against Garey by a score of 45-38.

Duarte's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Pilibos, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
